What is your experience, including any schooling? 14 years in veterinary medicine. Tech training at vocational school in Northern AZ. Equine Vet 7 years, Small Animal 7 years. I also trained in Seminary and am an ordained minister.
What types of pets do you have at home and what are their names? Horses: Peanut – Therapy Mini Horse, Candy – Pony, Sherman – Mustang BLM. Dogs: Nache, Diesel, Skylar – all mixes. Cats: Bracken, Bamboo, Arndd, Thomas. Rosie the Goat and 11 hens!
Why did you decide to work in the pet industry? I always loved animals. My 1st job was working with mules. After that it just kept leading me to this.
What do you like to do in your free time? I am a chaplain volunteering with therapy animals all across the valley. I enjoy volunteering and helping people and animals. I am a trained counselor and enjoy volunteering. I compete in rodeos, Highland Games, and Strongman.
If you could be any animal, which would you be? A horse, bird, or ladybug. Horses are my favorite animal.
What are you passionate about? I truly love people and animals, I love helping them.
What is your secret talent? I am very patient, a fantastic baker, great at backing trailers, and can castrate a bull in under 13 minutes.
Anything else you would like to mention? I am so happy to work at Bark Ave. I have been wanting to work here for years. I am so grateful and happy to work at such an amazing place.
